Trip to Port Fairy
Hello everyone,
My partner and I went on a trip to Port Fairy in Victoria Australia, and drove from Melbourne Australia with our girl Juno, to go and meet a 5 week old Jack for the first time. We stopped every couple of hours at different parks along the drive for Juno to have a wander around on her leash, have a toilet stop and a drink etc. She was fine with the 4 hour drive, as she settles in quite nicely in the car.
We stayed overnight at the Gumtree Caravan Park in Port Fairy, which was a dog friendly caravan park. We camped in our tent and Juno nestled in quite nicely on her doggy bed next to our blow up matress. She slept soundly all night and was very well behaved. The following day we went to meet Jack then went for lots of walks with her around the town and on some of the beaches around Port Fairy. She had a fantastic time! So did we
I recommend this for anyone that lives in Victoria. Also Daylesford in Victoria has quite a number of dog friendly hotels and cabins available, which is where we plan on taking our next weekend trip away

Hey Janey,
Yes it is a little too far away for you and most other members of this forum, but I thought I would share my experience anyway!
Unfortunately we didn't get any photos the first time we went to Port Fairy, but here are some from 3 weeks after when we picked up Jack 8 weeks old.
First picture is Juno & Jack napping in the back of the car, the second is me holding Jack for a pitstop on the side of the road on the way back to Melbourne

Re: Trip to Port Fairy
Your Moo looks lovely by the way, what a happy little pup! What colour is she? I'm looking at your avatar, looks like a light brindle.

Aww thank you, and lovely pics!
She is registered as a honey brindle, she was a rescue so I don't know where her colour comes from, a little like your tiger brindle but lighter

Oh how cute, honey brindle! My next guess would have been fawn brindle, but honey brindle is cuter! Yes she looks like a lighter version of Jack. She looks so happy what a smile!
