Weekend Plans
What do we all have planned for this weekend?
We were hoping to go to our local Italian Car Show on Sunday but the weather looks like it will put the dampers on that, never mind.

So do I. It would have been a great opportunity to take some stunning shots of some beautiful cars.

Re: Weekend Plans
Its the worst bit watching them being taken through. When I had Scrumps done they gave her the injection but then let me stay with her whilst it took effect, I'm not sure whats worse!
All will be fine and keep us posted Xx

Re: Weekend Plans
LOL Mia watch!
Erm, I was planning to have her pretty much confined to her cage for the weekend - only letting her out for wee breaks etc and not letter her go tearing around the garden like a lunatic!
Was going to check with the vet tonight but if anyone has any tips be much appreciated!
I'm dreading the words "just keep her quiet" - yea right she's a staff!

Erm, keep her quiet lol!!!!!
For the next 24hrs they are usually very groggy and will sleep a lot after that, then good luck!!
Does she like chew toys as this can keep them occupied? It really isn't as bad as its made out to be Xx

Re: Weekend Plans
maybe I may be able to actually get some cuddles in then!
I've got her a new stag bar and some chews from PAH for her so try to keep her busy that way.
Can she go for walks?

Just keep her quiet Tilly was back to herself the day after the op in most ways but a lot mopey (affection seeking) and not realising one bit that she had to take things steady , lead walks in the garden after a couple of days and make sure she keeps lead on for them early wee breaks, if I remember correctly we did lead walks outside for a week after the stitches were out then back to normal. If she is used to being in the cage it might not be so bad for you , but Tilly was always trying to do the stairs and jump onto the bed (her big comfy double bed)

Tilly didn't have a cone, she can't actually get to her bits , or if she can she's too lazy to try

Re: Weekend Plans
I was just thinking about Mia, so pleased all went well, please don't stress about it, its an operation and she is still very drugged up and sleepy.
Wait till morning and if your still worried give the vets a call, but I bet after a nights sleep she'll be almost back to herself ><

Re: Weekend Plans
She's very sleepy, been very sorry for herself and a little shakey.
Was concerned because she hadn't drank anything at all since we've been home, and only eaten a few small bites of her denta stick!

Re: Weekend Plans
She'll be fine honest , and they really know how to lay it on to get the extra attention , you should see a marked improvement in her by tomorrow at the latest , but don't expect her to be back to full strength. Bit of nice chicken from mummy is what's needed, and hand fed of course

Re: Weekend Plans
Thanks, I made her scrammbled egg this morning with a bit of cheese in but didn't fancy it! I'll try her some chicken and rice tonight and see if she'll eat that! I may have to hand feed lol!

Re: Weekend Plans
She's awake and has a walk a bout every now and then, but still no eats and more importantly, no drinks!!
We have tried to squirt some water into her mouth, and I have been wetting her nose and round her chops but she still won't drink and shies aways from her water bowl!
I can't force her tho? x

Re: Weekend Plans
No interest there either! I will try again though as that was last night so maybe she's feeling more like one now!
On the bright side I've never before been able to leave food on the coffee table with the guarantee that it'll still be there later!
