Is he scratching? It looks as though he's rubbed the fur off somehow, it doesn't look inflamed or sore.

Has he rubbed against anything abrasive, or any plants that he might be allergic to?

If it were fleas I would've thought he'd have been scratching & acting irritated by it all.

Looks like an itch that he used a piece of furnature to alleviate

I knew a dacshund that had no fur on his sides and it turned out to be because the owner rubbed him constantly and just wore the fur away bit by bit and now its gone.

It's possible that it's demodex, but it wouldn't normally look like that.
I'd pay a visit to the vet & see if they can sugest anything. Sorry we haven't been too much help.

It look about the same size what my dog Blue has and it's in the same place. Doesn't bother him and he never scratches it.
I mentioned it when he had his booster and the vet said it is common in short haired dogs. When they lose their fur coming upto summer sometimes they lose extra, but it will just grow back.
If your vet suggests anything please let me know cos Blue has had it a couple of months now. It's not getting any worse but it's not getting any better either

Kaos had 2 patches on either sides exactly like this as well is not red itchy or irritating him at all so i havent worried to much tbh although i will mention it when he gets his boosters in a few weeks

Is he showing any other signs? Drinking more water than usual? More hungry than usual?

Skye has a skin problem and I've started using an ointment called camarosa which has been recommended by so many people so I though I would give it a go
Only been using it for 2 days so I will let u know if it works well
