help please
my boy Bosh died in my arms on Sunday. He was the most wonderful dog anyone could have owned. He was a rescue, in fact I swapped him for a Transit van !! He was huge when I first saw him and totally wild at 4 years old !! He turned out to be the most loving handsome dog id ever seen, however I never knew exactly what he was. But by searching the net I think maybe an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He could never be replaced but I want another dog, like him, but ive only ever seen 1 similar. Does anyone know of a rescue dog that is similar or does anyone know of one for sale ? In tears as I write this. Phil

Re: help please
So sorry to here about your loss of Bosh, if you live in England the shelters are full to the brim of Staffies and Staffie crosses.
When the times right go and see, take them out and find a new best friend. Never a replacement for the ones lost, but giving any dog a new forever home is fantastic.
Times a great healer ><

As Janey says these centres are full to the brim of staffies and staffies crosses of all types. I know well as Rocky was one himself. I'm sure you will have no problems in finding a very good friend in one of them near you.
Take care, all the best regards, Kathy

Hi and welcome from us and Suki and very sorry for your loss. If you have a picture of Bosh someone should be able to help you identify the breed and as said if he was a Staffy there are plenty in rescue centers.

Hi Phil, and welcome to the forum.
I'm so sorry to hear about Bosh. They leave such a huge gap in our lives when they leave. RIP Bosh, run free.....

You don't say where you're from. If it's the UK then I doubt that Bosh was an American Staffordshire Terrier - they're banned in the UK. However, I would imagine that there are many large staffords in rescue centres all over the world. Here's a list of centres we know of - hopefully one will have your next companion!

Welcome! Personalities of Pits, AmStaffs, SBTs and BTs can be very similar. Loving and loyal dogs if given the right home and conditions. If you tell us where you are from it will help quite a bit with any recommendations.
