Hello
Hello
I am a recently new Staffy owner.
Our little staffy is called Caley and she is coming up for 11 Weeks old, we got her at 8 weeks old. She is amazing. I am a bit nervous to mention she is a blue staff as I never realised until after reading comments on here that it was not a good thing, we have read loads about having a staffy but never to do with colour, but we love her and she will be thoroughly looked after.
She is doing amazing, we are practically 90% potty trained and she can sit, stay and give you her paw when asked and She will finally be allowed out next week, she had her last jab on Monday, she loves her crate and sleeps brilliantly at night, she even gets the ump when I wake her at 2am to take her out for a wee She is also starting Puppy school next week.
The only real issue we have is that she has crazy moments, where it is like a switch goes off in her head and she charges around like a loony and tries biting our trousers or nipping at us, sometimes we yelp and ignore and this works, sometimes it doesn't it is like she just switches off, after about an hour of this she zonks out..I am kind of hoping once she can go for walks this will help...is this normal puppy behaviour.
I looked forward to hearing from you and sharing the stories

Re: Hello
Hi & welcome.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a blue stafford! The only problems come with poor breeding & resulting skin problems.
Caley looks an angel!

Re: Hello
Hi congrats on your new staffy! Be assured there is NOTHING wrong with owning a blue staff, we love them just as much as any other colour. Just don't go breeding her to another blue staff
She is absolutely beautiful welcome to our little family!

Re: Hello
Hi and welcome to th forum from Rocky and me.
Caley is gorgeous and it sounds she is getting on very well. Good luck with the training school next week, she will be fine.
It all sounds perfectly normal to me. Rocky is about 2 years old (from rescue so cannot be sure of age) and he still has his moments.
Good luck with it all

Hi and welcome from me, Millie and Bella
She is gorgeous. Sounds like normal behaviour. My 2 do that quite often, I just make sure I'm not sitting in the way of them
