Mr. Maska (almost big and strong)
Here are some recent pics of Mr. Maska. He is growing up so quickly, and a real charmer, always smiling.

Thank you so much for the great comments, love this forum

You have it ALL wrong
It is the other way around. Loki watches him like a hawk and right now, I think he still wants to get rid of her. We have this table outside and she is still too small to get on, so now, when he's had enough he goes and sits on top of the table just staring down at her.

Fantastic looking dog. Such a 'nuggety' little guy. Love them like that. Beautiful colouring too, my boy is brindle also.

And what happened with Duke in the end? I know he was having strange episodes but I havent been on the forum for over 6 months. Did the vets make a diagnosis? So sorry you lost him

Yeah, he was put down last year. The diagnosis came to L2 HGA (it's like a swear word around here :-$ ). He started having seizures and after an episode he just lost himself. For about 4 or 5 hours he seemed lost to the world, just barking and whining and he started snarling and wanting to bite. The vet explained it in laymans terms, saying that his brain "disconnected" from the body, and nothing could snap him out of it but sheer exhaustion. It was horrible, and such a sad thing to loose him, but now I have Maska and Loki. Both came from the same breeder (different lines), and both has been tested and cleared of L2 HGA. Happy days and long lives for them, couldn't go through something like that again, especially since Duke was only 3 years old. It was a valuable lesson though, because now I know which questions to ask, and if it offended some breeders (like it did, probably because they had something to hide), then that was tough. We have a good relationship with the breeder. We both keep in contact, and he is always willing to answer questions, give advise etc.

Re: Mr. Maska (almost big and strong)
Oh no poor Duke, thats so sad I've never seen a dog with L2 before. Thats great that your two are fully health tested though. Saves so much heartache and makes for a better/healthier breed on the whole. Glad your happy though, RIP Duke xx
