Re: Not again :(
She was told to stay away. That should have been a good enough warning.

Re: Not again :(
the first one is from the sun though and i have always said that they are on their own crusade to get rid of our dogs , parents need to be teaching their children about dogs. as a child i was always told to never stroke a strange dog so why is it different now ?

But she wasn't told to keep away from the bitch. If the dog is known to be aggressive, it should be muzzled.

Re: Not again :(
Oh here we go again, It is awful for the victims of these dogs attack but the press coverage of all of these attacks are ignorant and biais towards staffies alot of the time the dog doesn,t even look like a staff, when will they long you can not take risks with dogs and children and that goes too any breed, dogs use their mouth and teeth too communicate, they can,t tell us they are hurt unwell scared r feel threatened so as sad as it is but their instinct is too bite, any responsible owner would take no risks with a dog and a child, my staffs aren,t use too children, i am amazed at the amount of parents that let their kids run towards my dogs screaming, i was taught from a very early age how too be responsible around a dog, saying that the owner should not have let his dog anywhere near the child if it had any aggression in it, but when do the press ever follow through a story, afew years back there was a story here about a young lad being bitten by a staffy, what they didn,t say was that the lad had crawled under a table and was hitting the dog with a stick....!!

Re: Not again :(
most mongrels have bull breed in them! this was from an intelligent young lady(she thinks staffies are great) who works in a dog shelter in the north east, so it is difficult for the gullible (sun mail etc readers)to tell them apart!its tragic that staffies get the blame for everything when i would imagine most are mongrels. thats my rant over for now

I dont agree with this one bit. What if someone has just rescued a dog and it has got loose, or god forbid something has happened at the house and the dog was let out/scared off? Dogs have a right to live too, not just be killed off cause we as humans have caused the problem of too many. Education is the key not murder.
