I want to go to sleep but Tommy just isnt settling in his crate and I don't want him to wake the neighbours up He keeps going to sleep for an hour then waking up and crying , howling and getting himself really worked up . Last bout was for 30 mins none stop before I gave in and went in to him.

Suki howled and carried on like someone was abusing her the first night she was in her crate. I don't miss those days at all

I've picked up another post for this topic now but sounds like you didn't stick to the rules either Biggest problem is my daughter is adamant she wants to be the one he bonds with , sleeps on her bed etc (think she is a bit put out that come sleep time Tilly is either under my desk or on the bed with her mum). So at the moment she's sorting out his accidents , taking him outside to toilet him and feeding him. So we set the crate up in her room. If I could get Tilly to sleep next to him I am sure he would be fine but she just takes one look at the little whinger and goes back in our room out of the way for some peace and quiet.
I've been in and settled him about half hour ago after trying to sit it out for 30 mins. He woke again and seems to have settled back down so got to see how the rest of the night goes. If he is just as bad as last night , then he is going into our room to try for maybe a night and failing that its going to have to be the kitchen for him, we need our sleep

We don't mind either , it's just at the moment to avoid them little wet patches that seem to crop up everywhere. He did really well today though toilet everytime we took him out (about evry half hour whilst he was awake) Put him on the bed at 10.30 tonight to say goodnight to the OH and it was obviously too much to resist .............
