Tommyy's homecoming PIC HEAVY FB
So .. we went to get Tommy from the breeder today , my OH thought it was a dress up occasion
followed by some hellos
And a few goodbyes
especially this boy as this is the one we left behind
But hey life goes on and theres always something new around the corner

Ah! He is a wonderful looking boy! Tilly looks happy too! Your wife, dressing them up the first day... She does look pleased to have Tommy home though.
Let it be know, I noticed the pics first.

As you are the first to officially offer then you are first on the list . Having a late one tonight as he's been waking up and howling from his crate , I know I shouldn't pander but as I'm a big soft CO Dham lad I think he's missing his buddies so cut him slack for a couple of nights and tickle him to sleep. Just like having a baby really. Chuffed to bits with him he's really nice natured , inquisitive and lively and think he's going to be fine with a lot to learn from his big sister

OK so far that's all i'm saying !! Tilly seemed to be distraught on the way home with a big sulk where she refused to look at anyone, panting , shaking the works, had to stop a couple of times to let her have a wander and calm down. Once they were home she just went for her own space , looking a bit distraught here and there when Tommy decided to go for her food bowl etc. But as you see from the pics they did lie down together once. Had a bit of a scrap this morning as Tommy is insistent on getting a taste of Tilly's ears and tail and Tilly is trying to put him in his place but at the moment he doesn't want to listen and just keeps going back for another go. He's incredibly fast for a little chubby pup, Tilly was nowhere near his speed when she was little.

Ahh bless he's gorgeous!! Love the dressing up!!
He sounds like a persistent lil bugger so I hope Tilly succeeds on putting him in his place!!

Shaz here. Sounds like you have a lively weekend in front of you.
Sophie was so small when we got her she couldn't maintain her body heat overnight, despite us keeping the heating on 24/7 as it was thick snow outside. We ended up popping her in bed with us and taking it in turns to stay awake so we didn't squash her.
She soon took to her crate and slept happily there for a year, but when her tummy troubles started we took pity on her and allowed her back into our bed. It is amazing just how much room she can take up.
You have months of fun ahead. I am sure he will settle soon and 'normality' will return whatever that is with staffies around. The sleepless nights will become forgotten - until you get another

Re: Tommyy's homecoming PIC HEAVY FB
awwww hes very cute!! Tilly will settle dont worry to much, i remember when kaos was a pup and poor Ty was constantly covered in puncture marks and scratches. At least Tilly is trying to put him in his place Ty would just sit there and take it which is weird as he wants a scrap with everyother dog he meets lol

Hi Shaz , hope Sophie is still doing ok , the 2 of them are still fighting but Tilly's tail is wagging when they are so that's positive , going to try some music ( radio or something ) tonight and see how that goes . I know what you mean about the bed though , as soon as we could trust Tilly through the night she has always slept with us, nice to wake up in the morning to a toe wash

Great to hear it's going well Dave
Always wondered. When you get woke up to a face licking......Does it count as a wash? cos the Mrs thinks it doesn't, I do cos otherwise that will mean I haven't had a wash in a month

Hi Dave
Fairly new too this site firstly have too say a big congratulations too your new addition, such a gorgeous boy, made me abit emotional, i lost my old girl this year she was 17 and a red looked the image of your pup when she was little, I read all your posts on this link and can totally relate my pup is now just over 4mnths, i had all the dramas you had when i brought her home my 6yr old was abit anxious and got quite clingy too me, she would pinch the pups toys like a naughty toddler lol, she would put pup in her place etc, and i did wonder if i had done the right thing!! But now they are best buddies and do everything together, even sleep on my bed which i never thought my Skye would allow, hope you and your wife enjoy your little cuddly bundle me jealous never....!!!

Thanks Crystel, sorry for the loss of your old boy but that was a really good age to get to 17 , hope our 2 do. Tilly was our first staffy though we had knowledge of bree from my cousin's old girl Jess . Can honestly say we made the best decision ever to get Tilly , love her to bits and thought a playmate would be great for her. My daughter is being left to develop the bond as she wants to take responsibility for him and I think that's great as long as she sticks in (obviously he is our responsibility and we will monitor her) so Tommy is headed for Jenny's bed (Tilly already sleeps on ours, so we'd have to buy a bigger one)
