Training 2 pups at once
Hi just wondering if anyone has any tips on trying to train 2 pups at once? They keep interfering with one enough and get over excited, as one obeys, the other gets excited causing the former obeying pup to get excited and vice versa. Just wondering if anyone had any good tips.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Training 2 pups at once
I am trying clicker training with my puppy..
I cant help you with the solution as I have never had two pups at once but i would suggest that until you get the "basics " under control I would spend time alone with each of them.... say 10 mins with Prince, then 10 mins with Mia
etc...
Are you using a crate?.. it might be handy to keep the other occupied whilst you are training the other. x
Good luck

The best thing to do with pups, is to train them independently. Can another family member keep one occupied while you train the other?

I agree with Mel and Blue, I wouldnt even attempt to train them both together. Work with each of them seperately, at least until you have the basic commands down.

Definitely - one at a time. Preferably don't even have them in the same room to start with. Once you have the basics strongly in place you can try a little training with them both in the room, but training seperately (with someone holding the other, or in a crate etc).

think if you do them on their owen then when they get bit older bring them together so that they see wot the otheir one is doing and they should copy each otheir wich should make it easyer for you as they grow...
not a easy thing todo i know....its been 4yrs since i had to do any thing like that...
