A young child was mauled by "6 dogs" while visiting a neighbour's property.
For once it wasn't a staffy but still a "bull breed".

Thankfully the child survived but will be so scarred for life both physically and mentally, the poor little thing.

What I don't get is

How or why did the father allow his daughter to be in the vicinity of a "pack of 6 dogs" without supervision.....?

How come the owner had all 6 dogs roaming on the property all at once........?

OMG, that poor little girl.

I would never have any of my children on a property unsupervised with dogs, whether it be one or six dogs.

Yes, the owner should be in a lot of trouble over this, but so should the father of the child. What parent leaves their child unattended with six dogs?

Sounds like she will have some horrific injuries poor girl. She has undergone surgery already.

Why somebody would keep dogs for pig hunting is a bit beyond me.

I really hope she gets all the help she is going to need in the coming months and years.

poor girl

once again its immediately a dangerous dog plea. that dad is a bloody knob for letting a 6year old girl out with hunting dogs! anyone who hunts horses knows not to let anyone who isnt willing to beat the * out of a dog near the fox hounds cause they would rip you to shreds. hunting animals are not pets and should not be treated as such, the father should be sent to jail!!

What peeves me off the most is the media support of the father and what he thinks about "these type of dogs that are bred for hunting".

His comment on the news tonight was along the lines of "if the dog can't establish between a pig and a child it should be put down".

Helloooooo moron, a dog is a dog not a human, it doesn't think this way it wasnt me

If you don't know this then don't allow your child near one. DH and don't allow the even stupider owner to take all the flak, you are almost equally to blame. loser

Sorry for the rant, just pretty peeeed off angry

Unfortunately more & more dogs are being bred for the 'sport' of pig hunting - hogdogs or pigdogs they're called. They are usually a cross between either a staff or a BT and a hound of some sort - strength plus hunting instincts.

Disgusting to my mind.
