Hi! Im new :)
My names kirsty I have a beautiful currently 3month old leggy staffy named lexi who is a blue/grey with a white stripe down her face, tum and feet with slight champagne brindle print throughout her body as of late.
She is so loving and friendly adores children, people and very sweet towards other dogs although I have found cats can be quite mean towards her and some smaller yappy dogs lol I take her on walks three times aday but during the hot summer its usually better in the cooler evening and she is always coverd in suncream on her white parts for protection. Although she has been microchipped/jabbed/wormed-flead each month she refuses to wear her collar and scratches it continueously I keep trying with this but at the moment she is better with her harness than anything even though it is at its smallest she still manages to lay down and sneak out of it sometimes so I dare not leave her outside a shop or anything till she is bigger!
As for chewing she has many toys, a lovely garden, big hallway and crate for herself which we tend to put the radio on for her when she is left which isnt often as I work partime and work my hours around her currently so its usually the odd 3hrs twice a week though she is getting quieter rather than sobbing/howling the whole time she still doesnt fully settle and stands near the door the whole time waiting for us to get back even her treats, toys dont get touched untill we come home its pretty odd but she is still very much a big baby lol I just hope when I ever do get fulltime work again obviously I would get a dog sitter/walker but worry about how she would be in the long run maybe a heartbeat toy or something may be of more comfort? She rarely chews any of the household things (only old slippers) if she does we get the rolled up newspaper out and bang it by the side of a chair I find the loud noise distracts her and she knows she has done wrong exspecially with nipping if it does draw blood even though its usually a playful excitement thing and quite rare.
I feed her 3x aday to start with brown dried preimum pup food but she got abit bored of that so I stupidly mixed bakers which I have now been told is like giving a mcdonalds to a child? so I am taking that back and have been mixing in half a sachet of pedigree rice/meats which she really enjoys alot. Although when I first got her weighed she was apprantly underweight (8wks=4.08kg) and then average at (10wks=5.06kg) obviously now she is 12wks+ has grown quite abit but I do worry about the best diet for her as she is my first dog and I of course only want the best for her lol even though both her parents are very lean themselves and I dont agree with dogs being fat as they arent surpose to be! atleast not till they get older.
Anyway as for aggression its very rare and usually a over excited playful growl but I find a stern voice and she knows to stop even if she does huff and sulk lol also I found afew spots on her privates the other day I am not sure if that is due to laying in long grass etc but was told sudacrem is good after a mild shampoo wash and dry so I am definately going to try that one! she has had the odd green-brown pooh but I was told thats just from eating grass although I do have to keep an eye on her with stones/catpooh because she can be sneaky lol has become very carsick lately aswell before she use to sleep the whole time but now she dribbles constantly and vomits so we have to stop often and it kinda puts me off taking her anywhere even though she will eventually have to get use to doing it maybe its because she associates it with the vets because it only started happening after her second jab and chip! she gets plenty of water though and fresh air and I am definately thinking of taking her to puppy classes because I find even though there are three woman in the house fussing over her and people/dogs on walks she still gets abit bored of just my entertainment bless her!
Anyway she seems to be growing by the minute and judging from her paws and the first litter will be quiet a big girl but I don't care because I love her totally loyal even have her in bed with me which alot would frown on but isn't that what having a dog is all about.... LOVE <3 Well I am totally rabbiting on just thought id let you guys know how were getting on and any helpful advice would be totally welcome I have many pictures of her and her parents as I had visited every week from the moment she was born and brought her home at 8wks Thankyou for reading! xo

Re: Hi! Im new :)
Hi and welcome from us and Suki. Don't woory too much about how much she weighs. They all grow at different rates and most pups look a little fat. We use sliced veggies as snacks and training rewards to keep the calorie count lower.
Alot of pups will have excitement wees but it;s something they grow out of. Seperation anxiety is a harder issue but is usually helped if they are recently exercised before you leave them.
Puppy classes are a great idea. Also if you know someone with an older well socialized dog that is a great way to socialize her as well

Hi & welcome to the forum.
Firstly, a little friendly advice. Please don't mention the words 'Long Legged Staff' or 'Irish Staff' to anybody you meet. Both are names given to Pit Bulls to get around the UK ban.
This will sound judgemental, but if the breeders are breeding from known 'Irish Staff' lines then they are not trustworthy or responsible. Dogs from these lines are either pit bulls or pit bull 'types' and could be seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act. However, as long as you train your dog & socialise it properly, and don't go around telling people that he is a 'Long Legged Staff' or an 'Irish Staff' then you shouldn't have any problems.
Food wise, yes Bakers is one of the worst dog foods you can buy! However, Pedigree isn't far behind it! Have a look through the following link about recommended dry food.....

I have recently googled this and found many different veiws one being they dont exist and its usually got a pitbull bloodline and others saying they do and were bred to be leaner than the usual english small stocky staffy?

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
Great intro you seem to covered about everything
Try not to stress too much and enjoy the puppy days, they are far too short.
