I use PDSA - there are 3 levels and I chose the middle one - £7.74 a month.

Mine's Sainsburys - £7500 per condition for life - £17 per month, but that's after I've claimed over £5000.

Solly is with Petplan £26.00 per month, and they have paid on the button, with no hassle.

Re: Insurance?
I have Rolo insured with John Lewis.. again £14 a month, my vet recommended them. My other dog Flynn is with More Than, he's been with them for 10+ years, however i now pay £41 a month because he's over 12 and its pretty much impossible to find any other cover for him. But i do have to say I've never had any problem claiming from them, from cuts n grazes to cancerous lumps they've always taken care of my boy.

Re: Insurance?
My boss insured his last dog with petplan, and when he had a cancerous lump removed they refused to pay out on a 'technicality'! They are also way overpriced! It pays to shop around, although it's always better to go for a well known name as then vets are happier to deal with them direct.

Re: Insurance?
We have insured Rocky with Argos Pet Insurance on a Lifetime policy. The premium is £15.24 per month.
We were previously with PetPlan who wanted £22.50 per month for the same cover.
With Argos we went for the Platinum Policy which should pay out £7,000 in vet fees, £2 Million in 3rd Party Liability and with £65 excess per incident.
Hope this helps.

Re: Insurance?
I found Direct Line to be one of the cheapest, and best cover for the price in my opinion. Thank it's just over £11 per month.

Bloody hell, I just did a quote for Dempsey with Pets at Home & they wanted to charge a minimum of £45 per month!
I think I'll stick with what I've got!

Re: Insurance?
see, i have romeo insured at a lump sum. cost me 450€ for the year with a branch called Tapiola. i got a 'disscount' because he is registered with the kennel club and i am a member of the staffordshire bull terrier club.
but what is good with tapiola is that they are really reliable, and many insurances here in finland will not insure your dog once they reach over 8 years old, where this one, if you insure them before they are 4 months old, they will continue to insure them for life no matter what. o nthought it was pretty good. My friend Katarina had her staff Matilda insured and when Matilda was about 9 months old she clean snapped her back jumping off a sofa, and the insurance was really easy for them.
