Re: What career would you like
Although I'm quite content with the job I have as a Project Manager, both me and the OH would like a business dedicated to staffys like a staffy holiday park or dog minding service etc, and be clear we would only accept staffys and their relatives , maybe a few rotties and GSDs etc generally the ones that are turned away by everyone else.

Re: What career would you like
Hard work will get you there, are you a junior doctor or med student at the moment. Not many applicants for jobs in Wales, so very good chance of getting into the training programme, good luck.
I would love to be a vet, but when I left school there was only one uni with a vet faculty, so a lot of competition getting in, did not try. Also allergic to cats, that's why we don't have one.

Re: What career would you like
Nowhere near there yet. I have just done first year Medical sciences and humanities. It's a 3 year degree then I'll be applying for graduate entry medicine, that's when the hardwork starts. Loving the course at the moment, anatomy modules are heavy going but still enjoying it all the same. Plus kids will be older when I apply for graduate entry medicine and so will be in full time school so my headache of childcare will be much easier. Need to get stuck in these next two years though, GEM is hard to get into so will need decent grades, personal tutor said no lower than 70s and I need to get some volunteering work done!

Yeah it is extremely hard to get into though. So the plan is to knuckle down and get good grades this year and next to stand a chance of getting in!

I would like to be in visual merchandising, point of sale displays, window displays and styling. I've just finished honours year in an art degree, so hopefully it's a job that I can get eventually!

Re: What career would you like
Think i have my dream job now... I spend all day walking and caring for other peoples dogs... I'm lucky I can take mine with me if I wish, which they love and in the evenings I help people who have problems with their dogs. I got stopped in the woods today by a guy with a collie... he says " you remember Megan?" I looked... I did, today a happy, bright and full of life collie. The complete opposite of what she was when I met her 2 years ago. That made my day

Thanks I intend on sticking with it. Worked hard this year and I'll make sure it wasn't for nothing.

I think it's hard to find illustration work here in Scotland. A group of us are holding an illustration/design/animation exhibition at The Lighthouse in Glasgow this week, so I'll be interested to see what opportunities come from that!

I actually love my job some days. Just wish I didn't need to do it for a living and could simply do it out of benevolence. It's a goal anyway.
