why are white staffies bigger than others

HI all the white staffies we meet are big like Olly ,does anyone know why???????????????

I don't think it has anything to do with the color. A lot of Staffords these days are being bred larger than the standard.

kaos's dad was pure white and mahoooosive as well lol

they not bigger if you have a dog a lot bigger then standard then the dog may of been poorly bred or was cross with something bigger down their lines

My skye is white with brindle patches her mom and 1 brother is pure white too, Skyes not bigger than vinnie tho lol

White, as a colour, makes animals look bigger - it's very often an optical illusion. In EBTs the whites always look bigger than the coloureds and the coloured & whites always look bigger than the solids.

Ollys got good pedigree so not cross he just looks big no fat all muscle ><

My two whites are smaller. Mont is 38 lbs, frosty is 33 and Pig is about 30. Both whites are also shorter.

I'm not sure color plays any factor it's breeding and genetics

Pene is a little white (spotty) staffy, 16kgs and def not big!

lola is a big girl at nearly 2o kilos she's always been around that weight very muscly chest i think accounts for most of it.no fat on her though.

Lol this thread has given me abit of a wake up call i have been complaining that my Skye is small she doesn,t eat much and is very athletic and lean, but judging by your weights on here she must be quite a big bitch as shes just had a check up and is 21kilos, as for whites i,ve had afew big whites but my friends white is tiny bless her, so think carroll is right about white looking bigger as a colour x

21 kilos is quite big for a female! Females should be smaller than males and should weigh about 24-34lbs (about 11-15 kilos).

I know but she looks small definitely doesn,t look like one of the big staffies you see shes not barrelled at all looks very lean but is very muscular i was surprised when they weighed her shes not even that tall like some of the blues shes 15inches too shoulder i hope she isn,t fat lol what do you think...!!

Your blue girlie weighs the same as my nearly 17inches Male Shes a big girl
