business idea

Hi guys, im planning to go into selling all things staffy, only a small business. So far i plan to sell nice collers, harnesses, leads etc. Im researching what us staffy lovers would most like, when shopping for our babies. The reason im doing this is, i cant get a job and why not do something i love. Do you think theres a market out there, and if so, id love to get some feed back xxx

yea i think its a great idea! For me one of the key things is durability closley follwed by price lol. It would be great to have a nice strong long lasting collar thats cheap, not covered in studs but not girly.....

there a few people doing on the net and facebook but if you promote it right it may work

I've got an indoor market stall/unit, so i'll be selling from there, I want to sell high quality, low price. There is alot of peeps on line doing the same, im just hopeing that it will work. i like the idea of meeting people and i think face to face selling/buying is the best. I should be up and running in 3 weeks. Just got to clean and paint my little stall, then the grand opening. At the moment im slowly getting in supplys. Apart from coller etc, do you think theres anything else i could sell xx

Yes durable toys tugs and balls that sort of stuff at reasonable price's. Also u could look at t shirts jumpers hoodies that sort of thing for the owners and their dogs good luck with your new venture!

Sounds like a good idea, how about food? If you sell high quality ones that you can't get in pets at home, you should get a good customer base for food alone, it's always good to have advice on nutrition etc when you're buying food for your doggie!

Sounds like a very good idea to me.

How will you advertise yourself and your wears. Do you have some good photographs of items that you want to sell but dont necessarily have at the moment.

People will always pay for good quality products.

id tags, alot of people don't realize that it is a legal requirement

T-shirts and hoodies that fit well, strong toys/chews, training aids, bandanas? Staffie gifts such as mugs, phone socks/charms, cards..

Are you including other bull breeds? It may give you a wider market

Soon as i got all my stock, i'll set up the web site. Im quite nervous that it could all fail, but i have to try. Not being in work is driving me crazy. xx Im so gratefull guys. Go for it. Remember you can only fail if you try in the first place so dont be afraid. Going by what I spend on dog stuff every week here and knowing that the UK is so much more into additional products especially related to your weather, I am sure there is a market for your idea. Good luck

You could also sell things for people that have pictures of Staffords on them, such as car stickers/decals, or figurines and such!

Hey Kenny really hope things go well for you , and above all else you will be promoting the breed, what about some charity wristbands for funds to go to your local rescue , will push you up in favour with the rescue , and hopefully they can recommend you to new owners ?? just as thought. Website sounds like a great idea and I would definitely give some though to some owner and doggie "Staffie Wear"

I agree collars and harnesses and chew toys...and definitely T-shirts and bumper stickers, those might be impulse buys for people who are getting the dog items. Best of luck

i agree i have looked everywhere for a good figurines as all the ones i have found dont even look like a staffie

I agree, i should sell 4 other breeds 2, I've already decided that i'll donate a percentage to my local staffy rescue. I allaways promote the breed too. I want to take kenny with me so he can be my little amassador for the breed. I'll have to check if dogs a allowed in in-door markets
