a colour goes well with dark blue

i got white and that look good but my 2 nd is red and it just doesn't look right does anybody else knew a colour that will stand out on top of dark blue

mauve that would standout well, over navy or dark blue.

Is the dark blue thing navy? or another shade? what is the actual dark blue thing? Tell me and I will help you with the contrasting or complementing colour (men!!!)
