Anybody remember this ......

Yes I can very well remember this, the stuff of nightmares. I dosnt get rid of anything just smears it all around

The only thing it's good for is tracing paper

OMG yes, it was awful stuff! Very hard on the old bottie!

I remember as a child we always had that, but my aunt used to have soft paper - I could never understand why we didn't have the soft stuff!

Mind you, when times were hard my dad used to cut up newspaper into tissue sized squares, punched a hole in the corner & threaded a bit of string through - then it could be hung up in the toilet for paper.

we did that as well caryll, it was either newspaper or izal if my dad got paid

I'm glad you said that, Lynne - most people don't believe me when I say that!

Toilet tissue is the one thing I splurge on. I buy the good stuff! Glad I never had to experience that stuff!!

Didn't know the brand but the stuff you refer to we used to call "slip and grip" > and Caryll, I remember the hard times , now we shout another family member to pass another bog roll when we run out, when was a kid at home remember shouting down for someone to pass me the South Durham Times Kids don't realise how good they have it these days

I remember the tracing paper type and the newspapers, Kids really don't realise how good they have it. I can just imagine my daughters face if a roll of that turned up in the bathroom
