I think with patience they all get there in the end. The jumping up is so cute when they're 8 weeks old, but it's a nuisance when they get older, livelier & stronger! Big Grin

I bought a blue puppy cause it had really good parent both blue grandparents both blue, good pedigree. But I regret it now not as though I hate Billy it's just he is no longer blue, at the moment he has some hair loss on his chest I wish he looked like a norml staffy but he does not ,but to me he is gorgeous and I would not get rid of him for anything, but do your reasearch and get the best puppy available and take your time so you get the best that is out there, otherwise bet a reuscue

But I left it till my girl was about 17/18 months before getting another pup wich has helped as Skye is more settled and can teach my boy although he is a calm pup most of the time

You will know when you've found the right one Smile

If u buy blue go for registered , health checked parents that is a must.

I own a blue staff and about to have another bluey, I dint regret a thing but I researched each dog in the pedigree for tests. That way u kinda know what u are getting x

Good luck x

When Skye had demodex the vet suggested we put evening primrose oil capsules in with her food, along with the Advocate treatment though. That could be worth a try maybe? Smile

You could have to healthy 2 blue and the pup could end up with this https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/t17716-colour-dilution-alopecia ...

tests CANT pick this up... i dont want member s to say it ok to blue and blue mating...

No disrespect intended

I'm happy with my choices, but do value the opinions of this forum and the wealth of knowledge available here x

Can everyone get over this topic now? Yes we all know all staffys and dogs can get skin problems, BLUE BLUE parents make it MORE LIKELY just like WHITE WHITE parents. This isn't just a campaign against blues, and the only ones who seem to be blinded to the fact CDA occurs in blues is blue owners. Please just read what we have all wrote again and again.

END.

Good job. I think you will be much happier knowing what you are getting when you finally decide that it is the right time to add a new dog. I can say that it is more work adding to your pack. I bet Steve could do a stat on my online activity from one dog- two dogs and three. I spend a lot of time working with my dogs! Enjoy your family and dog and that is all anybody can ask for!

I would say have a look at your local rescue centres when you do decide you want another dog, staffies take up most of the room in them here its rediculous. Tinsel was from a rescue and we are so pleased with her, and are considering getting another older staff ( these are the hardest to re-home) when she's a little older.

I was told by my rescue centre that it's best not to get another female as they will likely fight, anyone know if this is true? Not heard that from anywhere else but they know more than me I guess Smile
