Ok, this is the first time i am having to insure a pet on my own .. the dogs insurance is up and we need to renew however because skye is my dog its only fair i insure skye .. however i am still seeking employment at the moment so cant afford a highly expensive one.

We're with Direct Line , pleaseed you got sorted but check out in 12 months a bit more thoroughly , my lad had his English Bull Mastiff insured with Argos and experienced an issue over payout for an ear problem, most important is you have some insurance

Re: Can someone help? lol
We have insured Rocky with Argos Pet Insurance on a Lifetime policy. The premium is £15.24 per month.
We were previously with PetPlan who wanted £22.50 per month for the same cover.
With Argos we went for the Platinum Policy which should pay out £7,000 in vet fees, £2 Million in 3rd Party Liability and with £65 excess per incident.
Hope this helps.

No, I was with M & S but I changed to Sainsbury's when M&S wanted to double the renewal premium. Apart from that M&S were great & both they & Sainsburys paid out substantial amounts without a quibble.

One thing to keep in mind is the excess of each policy, which I will be keeping in mind next time.
With More Than, it is £70 + 10%.

Just reminded me got to look through it all again now for Tommy, we have 4 weeks free kennel club insurance but I think I| will just forget that and get my own sorted in good time, does anyone know of companies that do good discounts for 2 dogs , with direct line and they don't seem to offer much

Re: Can someone help? lol
They do vary, so you really need to look at the policy document & read through. I know it's a pain, but it's worth it in the long run.
You'll find that none of them cover pre-existing conditions, and most won't cover you for the first 14 days of the policy unless it's a renewal with the same company.
Go for the highest level cover you can afford.

I've noticed that some dont cover for dental and some do, worth reading the small print.

Re: Can someone help? lol
I went with pet plan which is a bit high but i got him covered for life and a second dog would be an extra 15 pound and they deal directly with my vets so no hassle for me x
