Hormonal meds ....
Some of you will know that Inca has recently been kind of diagnosed as being in a false pregnancy 'mode' ...
She will constantly be like this but as far as i know the only symptom she is showing is having bigger lady bits than a normal spayed bitch ( sometimes they look like a set of plums !! ) .. Having talked it over with the vet who gave me a second opinion he has said as long as Inca isn't suffering and stressing : i.e constantly nesting, tempremental, stressing over her 'pups' (toys), irratable, mood swings, in discomfort, showing any signs of mammary developement, gone of her food ... and is staying the happy go lucky dog that she is (happy to play with any dog, friendly with anyone and anything, eating normally, enjoying her walks and basically enjoying life) that she doesn't need to go on any hormonal meds as he feels the only change that would happen when she was on the meds .. would be her back end would possibly shrink abit but the minute we stopped the meds then it would go back to the size it is now and as she seems fine living with a bigger back end than most girls !! ... I don't wanna pile her with anymore things that she doesn't desperately need...
The only thing i have to look out for is that if she gets any mammary gland developement ... As she is at a greater risk of getting mastitis or even mammary cancer (with her being in a false pregnancy mode) if her mammarys start to develope (fingers xd that never happens hey) ...
Thanks aswell to everyone who sent Inca their best wishes.. She would give you all a special staffy hug if she could haha

Thanks for keeping us posted Sue, and sending big Staffy hugs back to you and Inca from Rocky and me.
As the vet says so long as Inca is not in pain or discomfort then leave alone I guess is the best thing to do.
Glad to hear she is doing well

I think you're right to leave it alone. Why give her medicines that she doesn't need? And you never know, the meds might change her from being the happy go lucky girl she is now to a right miserable old hag!
