kenny and the chicken
I find myself quite lucky, kennys walks are quite pretty, mountains, streams, sheep(he ignores) and then we came across the chicken! Yes, a chicken, thank god he didnt catch it. He didnt bite it, just done that bounce towards it, bum up tail wagging, chicken squaking. OMG began chasing. Even tho i had him on his training lead, i could'nt hold him. I was no my bum being dragged. Not a pretty sight. My hands are burning, but wouldnt leave go. The only down side is, my lack of control over kenny at that moment. Even tho he was playfull, he would not listen, sadley i had to scream at him ( i never do this) but he did stop, give a big huff and carried on walking.

Ooops!
Don't worry, Dempsey still chases chickens whenever he can. My boss has 6 of them (ex-battery hens) and they're sometimes out in his garden. It's pandemonium if I don't realise they're there!

Bella has never met any chickens but she does like to try and chase birds. She get really spooked by feathers so she might run a mile once she realised that birds are covered in the scary things

We have the same problem with Rocky pulling on the training lead.
We decided to get my hubby a pair of these gloves as they are very hard wearing. They have lasted about a year so far:

Hope your bum was not too injured! Tyson wants to have a full go at any bird. he has caught two pigeons before (they fly in through the back door to eat his pellets and somehow he becomes greased lightning and brings them down.)

Re: kenny and the chicken
Maisy met 2 deer the other day, it was a nightmare, she chased them across 2 fields, then when she'd lost them she just ran round and round the field trying to pick up their scent. She wouldn't come to my shouting her, she'd run close to me then run off again. My daughter had to Chase after her then dive on her to catch her the little bugger. Since then her nose is really kicking in on walks now, I darnt let her off. Was thinking of trying a whistle.
