Is he really a staffy - my picture
Hi,
Following my previous post "is he really a staffy" my profile picture shows a picture of our beautiful pup we have just bought. It was the only way i could attach a pic.
If you read my previous post i explained the whole buying of him was very strange, we have no papers either.
He is beautiful and will love him what ever he is but we are just curious as to whether he may be a cross with another breed??
My husband thinks maybe border terrier but at this young age its so hard to tell

Re: Is he really a staffy - my picture
I'm afraid it's impossible to tell from your avatar whether he's a pure staff or not. He's very cute, and looks very staffy-ish, but it's a small pic & hard to really see properly.
Have you got a photobucket account? It's easy (and free) to open one (www.photobucket.com) - you just upload pics to there from your computer, hover the mouse over your pic & you'll see a drop down menu. Copy the last line (the img code) and paste it here.
Bear in mind, though, that without papers or at least proof that the pup came from two pure staffs, you'll have no way of being absolutely sure.

Without papers you will never know, and that goes for all breeds.
As I have said before, very cute all the same

Re: Is he really a staffy - my picture
So, is that at 7 weeks old? If so, I have to say that he looks more like a staffy cross. He's very big for 7 weeks - looks (size-wise) a bit like Shontelle's Charlie - and he has a little mastiff in him!
Whatever he is, he's a beauty!
Does it matter to you if he's pure staff or not?

Hi Caryll,
This advert was posted yesterday, the same day that we bought him. The woman advertised him as 8 weeks old but when we got there she said his date of birth was on Valentines day - which after working out when we got home with him - means he was 7 weeks yesterday and 6 weeks when she got him as she only had him a week - 6 weeks is far too young to be taken from his mum. He seems very healthy and bouncy.
As far as his size goes he is probably only the size of a chihuahua. Our 8mth old cat is bigger than him too
No we dont mind if he is not fully staffy at all - he is gorgeous to us, we dont care what he is, he is a lovely addition to our family.

Looking at this pic, he looks a helluva lot bigger than a chihuaha! maybe the photo is deceptive! Do you think the lady you bought him from would be willing to give you details of the breeder?

Hi Jen, it sounded like gumtree as we see it on here all the time, I was just curious to know the story around the sale but found the background on your other post
The deeds done and he is beautiful so no turning back the clock. It's just important that other people see the stories and don't fall into the same trap. I bought Tilly from a back yard breeder in the newspaper , mum KC reg , dad not as the KC reg male had hip problems, was contacted after a year dropping hints about another litter on the way. At the time I didn't know about Gumtree and Back Yard Breeders, and all said and done she has turned out to be a fantastic family pet and I dote on her more than I dote on my daughter (she's 12 and big enough to look after herself )

Gorgeous I'd say staff x labrador just the size and colouring but not sure on the colouring as looking at the picture he seems to be a bluish fawn coloured, worried that alone may make him look type when he is older
