Growing up so fast
Good afternoon guys, quick question:
When do they stop being puppies?
I was advised that they are no longer puppies as soon as they are 1 year old, but Leo is definitely still a puppy in my opinion. He is still quite slender and still has a 'puppy face'. Dont get me wrong, I love him being a puppy, was just wondering when I can expect him to start looking more like an actual adult Staffie

Re: Growing up so fast
Officially (if you're showing a dog) they stop being puppies at 12 months old. But it depends what you mean by puppy.
All breeds are different, but a staff doesn't really become fully adult until he/she's about 3 years old! Even then, some will act adult at 2 years old, some never!

This very much depends on the dog in question, and can vary.
Usually a dog is mature when it reaches 3-4 years old, they would start to show adult behaviour at about 3 years old then reaching full maturity at about 4 years of age. Hope this answers your question.
