Re: my pup blade and his brother
He is beautiful and has all the world to grown in. No its not the same but my mate had twins one was really small the other really big it took the small one a little bit but he caught up, they all grow at different times

Re: my pup blade and his brother
scott he looks what a five month staff should look like on average the head starts to get bigger around 6-8 months so he still young and his brother must be a early developer without seing pic of the two of them together its hard to coment on the differance in size

Aww blade is lovely i thought the same about kaiser he was the second to last born and was smaller than the first few that were born but actually he is the same size as his brothers now the heads tend to be the last things to fill out kaisers only grew big in the last 6 months or so so i wouldnt worry

your blade hasn't got a bully head and never will, staffs come in all different shapes and sizes some with bully heads and some some with terrier heads, you have a lovely dog there with a terrier looking head,

Re: my pup blade and his brother
Don't be disappointed. His head may never be huge, but it will strngthen with age & he'll look every inch a stafford in the end!
Have you looked back at the grand parents/ g.granparents? Sometimes a little way back there are terrier-types & that may come through in another generation.
Anyway, wait & see - give it another 4 or 5 months & then compare some pics - you'll see how much he'll change in that time. If he still has a terrier-type head, so what? He still looks like a fine staffy!

Re: my pup blade and his brother
My Bandit as a youngster had a very terrier head. By the time he was mature, although it was never huge, you could never have mistaken him for anything other than a staff! His head was a great shape & his jaws incredibly strong, but he was more terrier than bull! Have a look ............

Re: my pup blade and his brother
What a nice dog love the head so thats a terrier head if so doesnt look that bad. Got a question does having a terrier head make his jaw and locking on to his tug toys any less than a bully head.

Re: my pup blade and his brother
no shouldn't thing so that has go to do with his jaw muscles

Re: my pup blade and his brother
Doesn't make any difference whatsoever! In fact if anything the terrier-types seem to 'lock on' harder than the bully types - just my personal opinion.

the bully type staff has more pronounced cheek muscles than the terriers.
