Herman ran upstairs again to avoid the stuff we put in his ears weekly to keep the fluid out. one look from him and the chase was on

Re: rascal
Associate you touching, gently tugging, advancing to a wet kitchen towel being wiped over his ears as a good thing, while he's eating/treats, when you bring out the drops place them on the floor or allow him to sniff and treat or praise, I'v always touched/massaged/tugged/ washed pretty much every part of my dogs body including gently rubbing their gums with my finger from when they were pups so they are extremely used to it and now look forward to it, the last thing you want is for him to associate you with something bad.

Re: rascal
fluid builds up in his ear canals for some reason. vet said it's not infection but we got some stuff there that we put in his ears with a seringe once a week. the stuff's called "otto dry". we put it in and briefly rub the base of the ear then let Herman shake out the excess fluid.lynne wrote:Whats wrong with hermans ears matt

Re: rascal
Moo is kinda prone to ear infections and she knows by the rustling of the cotton wool bag when its going to come out, but she is so good now and just lets me do it. Herman will get used to it, I hope
