AAAAAhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

why doesnt any one sell a decent washing ojne any more. matthew came down the stairs yesterday and asked me if i had washed any of his socks. NOOOOO cos you havent brought any washing down lately. oh he said i'll go get it. he brought down a dirty big bag full of tshirts socks and a couple of pairs of jeans and trousers. so i washed it all last night and put it all out on the line this morning. i counted 16 tshirts, 1 jeans, 3 trousers, 60,000 bloody socks, his undies and 4 shirts. Lovely mummy I am washing them instead of telling him to do it his bloody self which I should have done. Turned to walk in the house after pegging it all out on 2 washing lines and the sock hangers when I heard a funny noise. Turned round and both lines had broke sending all that clean washing into the dusty path and churned up lawn. Lemmy got stuck under the washing Lottie freaked and hid in the trees it took 3 chocolate biscuits and a lot of patience to get her out. not a good start to my day at all. well if he thinks i'm doing it all again he can get lost. will get a new line he can put it up and hang it all out again or i might just think sod it and stick in the drier

LOL... I have been trying to teach my 16 year old sister (as mentioned, she boards with us during the week as too far for my parents to travel ... about 130km from their home!) how to clean, and how to use a washing machine... in a year an a half she has learnt to boil eggs... I can never understand how she has clean clothes because I rarely see washing... then suddenly it's like the dirty clothes fairy drops a load in the washing machine for me to wash, dry, fold/iron and see end up on the floor!

and before you ask no he hasnt run out of clothes yet. his tshirt collection is immense. he ahs concert ones funny ones even a few superman and spiderman ones i did try to get him to wittle it down once but he refused to part with any. think he may have enough clothes for another few days yet so plenty time for him to get me a new line and put it up. heres a couple for you

Oh, I'm sorry - that really cheered me up!

I use one of those brabantia things that's screwed to the wall & you pull it out like a rotary drier. I used to have all sorts of problems with washing lines - not least Bandit jumping at it & pulling the washing off the line!

I can't use out line (because I can't reach it ) so smalls, towels and bed linen go into the dryer (but might have to start taking advantage of the 6'5 husband... electricity bills getting too high!) and the rest goes on a clothes horse...

My son has done all his own laundry since he was 13 he did the same had worn everything and expected me to wash it well he got quick lesson in how to operate a washing machine and he can cook and clean up after himself .

i think the best question from him was what number do i put the drier on. 130 and keep checking till its dry son

after reading all this, now I know why I only have 4 legged children!

Thankfully my daughter does her own washing, she doesn't trust me to do it

I do the washing cause I love it but everyone does their own ironing which I hate

i have never ironed every bodies clothes. its iron as you need it in our house and since they were big enough they have done their own its just him thats usless with washing he will have to learn cos the RAF won't mammy him like i have
