Slow motion video ideas?
Hey everyone,
Has anyone got any suggestions on what to capture in Slow Motion?
Everything I come up with involves destroying something expensive LOL...
Let me know your thoughts. If it's feasible, I'll record it and post it here.

A dog running and then jumping over a low hurdle, a horse galloping, ummmm sorry it's getting late for me.

That's weird! .. only the other day I was trying to think of how I could get some super slo-mo of Max doing his drag training ... reakon it would look amazing to see him working in slo-mo
I shot a pumpkin with my 12gauge once .. that would'a looked good really slow as it exploded!!

That would have looked pretty cool LOL
I use a Casio Exilim EX-FC150 - I got it for less than £100 and the results ain't too shabby with a bit of editing. If you lived nearby I'd come by and record for you.
I've finished one slow mo video of different dogs, I'll upload and post it shortly.

I found a dandelion! A random one but it wasn't quite ready. I tried anyway but will upload a better one when they are everywhere (easily find them in my garden soon!)
Re: Slow motion video ideas?
Here is a Slow motion video of insects! Be warned....close-ups of creepy crawlies!
If you would like any of these clips for your own videos, let me know. I upload them as 'Creative Commons' so they are free to re-use

The dog one is really interesting, too see how they move when they shake. The nut cracking one is super neat, as well! Look forward to seeing the dandelion!

LOL- not sure how I'd explain that if someone walked in....
Re: Slow motion video ideas?
This is cool (I did say my ideas were mostly destructive)
Something beautiful in this, as the dandelion emerges from the flames:
I've got a brilliant video of Sky (my dog) in slow motion - will edit it and upload it in a couple of weeks

That's a good idea, Steve - but these are great - if it ain't broke, why fix it? How's your stomach now? I felt your pain, I had similar the week before last, took me 5 days to get it outta my system.
I've just pulled together for the local kickboxing club (hint hint, for those that live near Congleton):
Having a break from major editing until I hand in my write up (due July) and then will be looking for more procrastination. I'll have to get permission KC to use any images or are they free to re-use? Keep the suggestions coming!
Dan

The slow motion fire wasn't that good
Thank you - I'm glad you liked it. For those with a keen eye, you may have spotted it, but the dog at the beginning, is the happy (and rather plump) dog playing with Estella in the middle of the film - they both had a very happy forever home together!
