should i?
so scarletts sister is still with my best friend and im really contemplating getting her (as my friend is really struggling to cope with the 4 dogs she has!) i think the pair of them would be brill togther? her name is Jezzabell and shes white / brindle staffie x ABD and she is just beautiful what you think i should do?
Re: should i?
oh and i was considering getting another one as the vet mentioned it today, as she seems to be lonely and i thought her sister would be perfect
Re: should i?
I know most people would advise against two females, and would definitely advise against sibling females... as when they get older there can be many fights.
in saying that I have no experience with it, I'm just going by what I have read on here.
so you may be setting yourself up for heartbreak if you do get her

Re: should i?
yeah thats what im kinda thinking, im going to my friends (who owns the mummy and daddy of scarlett!) so i was going to judge them on how they were together but o have been offered and tempted.
Re: should i?
If you do get her, please change the name! Two puppies are a lot of hard work, especially litter mates. It really does depend a lot of the personality of the individual dog, it might work out great or it might not.
Good luck in whatever you decide.

I think it can work but you have to be prepared that it might be trouble. It always depends on the two dogs. Its just conventional wisdom that says two females especially sisters might not work out. However, it's not a rule.

Re: should i?
Same sex pairings are usually more likely to fight later on and siblings are also more likely to fight. That said, sometimes it works great. I would be careful, though.

Re: should i?
In a word no. I honestly think you're jumping the gun with it. Two bitches will fight and I don't want to be rude but you seem to have enough going on. Can you honestly say you can handle two very strong dogs If they go at each other?

Re: should i?
They may have been good together when they were pupa but remember in a few months they are gonna start maturing and the hormones will start and this can be when the problems start .. But if im not mistaken alot of your posts have been about scarlet and how you dont think you could cope with her etc n shes not like how your lab was .. I think getting another esp while scarlett is so young is pushing it.
I have two and my vin was nearly one when i had skye and it was a handful! Not saying i couldnt cope cuz i did but it was a handful!
But as said above some sibling pairings work and some dont, Good luck if you do

Yeah I'm not too sure been talking to the other half and he was thinking the same, when they grow they might fight but he said when Scarlett's older we could always rescue one

Not only that, you can pick the right one for you and Scarlett, when your both ready, just at the right time .... which rarely happens when loking for a pup

Very wise decision my Skye is 20 months and buster is 7 and they can both be handfuls at times having siblings can be ok but the ones I've know have been mixed sex not just one sex but on speaking to the owners they have said it was very hard work
