I had a leaflet from my vet this morning warning of the dangers of feeding your dog grapes or raisons. They can cause sever kidney damage in dogs. Fruit cake and other food with a high density of dried fruit are a particular problem. Risks from ingestion varies from dog to dog and some will eat lots of grapes and raisons and have no problems and others develop sever kidney disease. If you think your dog has eaten grapes or raisons then go immediately to the vet, don`t leave it till the morning. Apparently they have had 2 cases recently where the dogs had to be PTS with kidney failure. Sad
