After a new phone on contract
Hi all , my BB on orange is due for upgrade tomorrow and I'm stuck for thoughts. i do use my email but not all the time and when its on my BB it just makes me realise how much junk I get on a daily basis , though I do need to be able to pick it upon the move without too much hassle. I really don't have a clue what the email options are with other phones and how easy or not it is.
I use a bit of internet for here and FB and stuff so want to keep that and have something easy to use
No way do I want an Iphone as they are just an expensive gadget and i'd have to double my monthly contract price to get one at a reasonable cost.
At the moment I have a great contract for free family calls and all land line calls free plus my magic numbers and pay £15 / month plus an extra £5 for the BB data services , orange have nothing as good as this now so really want to keepthe contract and maybe just pay a little more for the phone.
Suggestions please ....................................

Re: After a new phone on contract
Depends if ya wanna stick with a buttoned key pad, or one of the large touch screens ?
My daughter has one of the large Samsung Galaxy range, and I have to say it really is an awesome phone in every way (apart from battery life like all the new large smart phones ) ... sayin that, she is on FB, and the net ALL the time literally!!
I might get a new phone at Christmas, and might see what BB have to offer around that time, or one of the above

Re: After a new phone on contract
I have a Samsung Monte on T Mobile for £10.00 per month, 100 free minutes anywhere, 100 free texts, unlimited internet, (phone is garbage though wouldn't recommend it) over 24 months, tariff is OK I guess.

I would have to say iPhone! But then I am biased, I have an iPhone 4 and a Macbook Pro my contract is up in August but the new iPhone should be released in October-ish, so will be holding out for that !

I have a BB Torch for work at the moment and have both options , have to admit i take the easy route and use the keypad for calls but I suppose mainly because i have to use the button keypad to put in unlock password (company policy not my decision) but the touch screen phones ar quite funky.
Have called orange today, am dumping my BB as I just get way too much junk mail so its worthless to me, I can get a Samsung Galaxy SII for free once I kicked some butt (they wanted 160 notes but amazingly dropped to 0 when I explained to them I had just dumped my Orange broadband and was about to do the same with my mobiles (my wife is on same contract as me and do a 10 per month top up for my daughter all from 1 account so good regular business for them)

Don't really want to give up my contract as it works really well for me , 300 mins, free calls to OH and daughter, all landline calls free + 100texts (don't txt so much) had it for 4 years and orange keeep trying to get me to dump it but it is way too valuable for me all for 15 notes per month , then 5 on top for 500mb of internet and all my emails

We got the Galaxy for her mainly cus the girl in the shop had one, really recomended it, and said unlike most of the other new type of all singin all dancing phones, they hardly ever get any come back with faults, or have to send them back to the manufacturer

Re: After a new phone on contract
Hey,
I would wait a month as the Samsung Galaxy S3 and a few other new phones come out in April.
Mine is also due to renewal now. I have an iPhone 3GS and it will be cheaper to drop off the Apple tariff but if I wait one month I'm pretty sure the S2 will be cheaper (though I may still end up getting the S3 anyway)

My sister (she's 16 so her phone is her life LOL) has a Samsung Galaxy 5 and it's an awesome little phone! I don't know what the plans are over there... sorry I have an iPhone 4S (like a lot of people) and I love my iPhones! I am a Mac geek through and through!

There's always something coming out new. The S2 was supposed to be £160 on upgrade and they are giving me it for nothing so I can't see that I'll do better than that
