hi, im kate i live with my partner paul, kids leoni age 8 and freya age 2 and a half and our lovely staffy girl maisy aged 2. i just love staffys, maisy is the 3rd staffy i have owned, we rescued her at 11 months from a lady with 4 kids and 1 on the way! she had only had her a month, she got her from some high rise flats in manchester. we were her 4th home in under a year bless her, she's with us for keeps now! we are currently looking for a friend for her. we want an older male if anyone knows of any 3-7?? looking forward to becoming involved in this website.

oh poor girl - well done for rescuing her. dont know if you willing to travel but advised a male rescue at briarcliffe kennels in thornton lancashire that has been there 3 years so he may be the right age?

thanks everyone, its nice to be welcomed. i will keep looking, i have leicester stb rescue looking out for me but the one i thought i was getting from there now isnt suitable and he's got to be right for us as i would hate to have to send him back.

theres a blackspot in yorkshire for staffy rescues, wish i had the money to set up my own!

will hopefully get a pic of my lovely girl on soon when i work out how to do it!

Whilst not a Staffy rescue as such, this place took on a large number of Staffies towards the end of last year and is based in Sheffield.

thanks for that, just had a look, the problem i have is finding one that is good with young kids aswell as another dog, alot of rescues dont know the history so cant let them go to young kids and whilst my 8 year old is very good with them, my 2 year old just cant contain her love for maisy and she does give her big cuddles - which of course most staffs would love!
