Manuka Honey
Hi all, just thought I'd share this as I have been looking up natural treatments for Heston's digestive problem...

I know that Manuka has many uses but I didn't realise that it was available in an oil, which sounds worth a try for skin conditions.
Enjoy x

Re: Manuka Honey
Honey can also be used to put directly onto a skin condition, especially sores,. Not too sure exactly how long it would stay on for though.

Re: Manuka Honey
It sorts of sets and puts a film on, I had it on a burn the other day, from when I was cooking

Re: Manuka Honey
This was used on Dempsey when his bitten ear got infected & they had to cut away the dead flesh leaving a big open hole! I had to put the honey ointment into the hole to help the regrowth of new skin.
I've got to say that it was brilliant. The ear healed so quickly & the new skin was soft & didn't seem to irritate him at all.
The trouble with it, I suppose, is that it's incredibly expensive!
