well we took her on from a guy whos girlfriend was pregnant. and he had been feeding her chicks :/ which aren't nutritionally great, so now we are feeding her medium sized rats but having to scent them with chicks so defrosting them together.
hoping she starts eating rats soon though i dont half worry x

I couldn't do that. I have enough trouble handling Dempsey's raw meat for his dinner!

they both look stunning i can not wait to expand mine at the moment i only a KSB and two ChiliRoses. It's so annoying how most of the vivariums cost more than the actual animal.

Re: snakes/reptiles anybody?
I love snakes never had one but would love one one day. I did have a bearded dragon but had to leave her behind when I split up with the ex I was gutted to hear he had given her away to his mate days after I had left. I would have taken her if I knew he was going to do that. It does cost a fortune setting up but once you have the viv an heat mats the only thing that needs replacing are the heat lamps an there not that much really.

Funny i'm scared of the little spiders, you never know where they are, you can not tell if their crawling on you, their fast, you wont have that problem with tarantula's, I got a lovel video of my Chili cleaning her fangs making sure their in check before her meal if you wanna watch it.

Re: snakes/reptiles anybody?
at the minute a 4ft long by 2ft wide by 2ft high wooden vivarium this should do him for the rest of his life unless he gets any bigger than 6ft as you should keep a snake in a vivarium that has the floor space to match its size i.e if the snake is 6ft the floor space should be 4ft by 2ft to give you 6ft in total

Re: snakes/reptiles anybody?
I'm now extremely jealous.
I've got a Royal at the moment, but we're looking to add to the family once we've got some more money.
I guess with that many some of them are in tubs/RUBS instead of vivariums?

Re: snakes/reptiles anybody?
Yes we have them in RUBS as it so much cheaper and saves alot of space as well
Guest- Guest
Re: snakes/reptiles anybody?
Aye, I'm looking at getting a California King snake next, and a RUB for it would be just over a tenner, a viv would be nearly 100 >.< But I'd prefer a viv, but the desperation to get one is making me swing towards a RUB

Re: snakes/reptiles anybody?
I had a 5 foot long male Ball Python named Michael from my 8th birthday till last fall (12 years). He was at my mom's house because we don't really have room for his cage to be separate from the cats in our apartment. My mom gave him away last fall without telling me. It was pretty sad, but I'm hoping he's happy with his new family.
Here are a couple of pictures of Michael:
