Hi anyone help with family tree ?
Hi i don't know if anyone will be able to help or not, i am trying to find my 1 year old blue female staff's mums family, the person who sold us her a year ago didn't say that the mother was just under 1 year of age at time of mating so therefore kennel club wouldn't kc my pup,any-ways it was a terrible experience.I managed to get her fathers pedigree as i contacted the male dog breeder and he gave me his dogs kc number to get her pedigree from dads side.all i know about the mum is she was nicknamed ruby and had 5-7 pups, ,i seen a copy of the mothers pedigree which the breeder was supposed to forward a copy of but didn't the mother was from Carlisle and was a daughter of Bronsons blue boy but i do not know her pedigree name.she apparently had a fantastic pedigree.any help would be appreciated or anyone who bought pup from same person and managed to get pedigree would be fantastic.

Re: Hi anyone help with family tree ?
Hi & welcome to the forum.
Oh, boy, poor little girl to have a litter so young! Must've been her first season. I'm surprised that the owner of the stud dog agreed to the mating.
I'm afraid that without the bitch's registered name there's very little you can do. Were you told that your pup would be KC registered when you bought her? If you were, then you ought to be getting back on to them for at least a partial refund of your purchase price!
You'll be able to get details of Jolsons Blue Boy by phoning the Kennel Club (they'll charge you for a copy of his pedigree, but it shouldn't be too much) but you won't be able to find out the dam's name.
I don't suppose you have any contact with the breeder?

Re: Hi anyone help with family tree ?
I tried all that a year ago and it was just horrific, the kennel club couldn't do anything and the man after 5-6 weeks of having bree just apologised and offered us our money back in return of dog, which we had became attached to and he prob knew that, lied about sending us a copy of mums pedigree although i seen it when we went and bought pup for £650.I found stud dog owner but he didn't have bitches pedigree name either.i contacted police, customs and excise and all relevant bodies but no one could do anything.

Re: Hi anyone help with family tree ?
Trading Standards?
You've been defrauded by an unscrupulous b*stard. It's as simple as that. You could try a private summons to get a refund, but hang on to the pup because you are attached to it - I've known that to work, but it'll depend if the breeder has any money to pay you if you win the case! Have a word with the Citizen's Advice Bureau (or whatever they're called now!) & see how you'd go about it.
I would contact trading standards, though. Maybe even get in touch with the tax people cause I'm willing to bet the breeder hasn't declared the income from the pups - won't do you much good, but it'll be sweet revenge.

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
What a terrible ordeal, I'm sorry but I wouldn't be of any help to you never been through anything like that.
As Caryll says Trading Standards may be the way to go.

Re: Hi anyone help with family tree ?
Damn.
What a shame. I really feel for you, but there's not much you can do now, apart from taking out a County Court Summons (I take it you have the breeder's name & address as you picked the pup up from there). But as I said, if they don't have any money, even if you win the case you may not get paid anything.
Any chance of some pics of her? She sounds a real corker!

Re: Hi anyone help with family tree ?
Hi that is her in my Avatar,it has been a year now and i guess i will just have to keep looking and searching for her mother looked at sbt pedigree site and seen offspring of bronsons so maybe a clue in there ...we didn't get pup local and preloved hid the address from me so i couldn't even write a letter stating i wanted a copy of mums pedigree...i google earthed area but i was just going around in circles with now surname and address he was well covered.no name, address therefore no court action ..even phoned vets in the town to see if they could help and they were lovely but couldn't help at time, but now i am thinking of maybe ringing them again as he said she had op so vets would have had to do that, long shot a year on but i have nothing to lose.

Re: Hi anyone help with family tree ?
Hi
This makes my blood boil, mating a puppy that age intentionally, poor baby, the stud dog owner wants neutering as well.Wouldn't hold out much hope he will help you It is a kennel club rule that puppies cant be registered from a dam less than 12 months of age. . I would keep looking on preloved because my guess is she will have been mated again, only out for the money these guys.
She looks a lovely girlie

That, I'm afraid, is only too true.

Re: Hi anyone help with family tree ?
Hi as far as i am aware she was neutered most definitely, have spoken to another breeder in the area and was most helpful but hasn't seen the man for months. may have her pedigree name but not 100%. he says the dam was 2 days short of being a year old, still too young for my liking as i wouldn't breed before age of 2 but i'll try googling name and maybe ring kennel club and see what they say
