Its a subject that interests me and just wondered what you all think. Im a Geek at heart and love my Sci-Fi and a huge Star Wars fan lol. Watched "I know what i saw" on Netflix earlier a documentary about U.F.O's and thought it might be worth a topic on here.....John

Re: Do You Believe in U.F.O's
Not too sure about the whole U.F.O thing, but I believe it would be ignorant to assume that Earth is host to the only life forms in what is basically an infinite Universe (I say infinite because discovering "the edge" has not occurred and quantum physics is yet to prove otherwise). My husband is a huge Sci-Fi geek also... and is having a Star Wars themed 40th birthday next year LOL.

i put maybe as we would be kinda silly to think in a virtually infinite universe we are the only one's here, but whether or not they are as advanced as science fiction would have us believe?

I did wonder LOL ! We are having to start buying things for it now as he has on his list some life size cardboard cut outs, a lightsaber, the cake (which obviously I can't buy now, but the one he'd like will cost a fortune!) a piƱata (there are Darth Vader helmet ones) and he's having a marquee and I have to make a paper mache Death Star for the top of a stand for a Star Wars themed cup cake display (and learn how to make all the little bits for the cupcakes!). Then there are the goody bags and the decorations etc... he's also going to have all the movies playing on the television... and everyone must come in fancy dress!

Re: Do You Believe in U.F.O's
Theres nothing to believe or not to believe with U.F.Os lol. There are unidentified flying objects seen in the sky everyday.
Now the question is do you believe some of these U.F.Os are alien spaceships visiting from another world? The answer is no, that's ridiculous. What technologically advanced race would want to travel all this way and not make contact with the inhabitants of the earth-or if their intentions were nefarious-attack our vulnerable little planet with superior technology and submit us to their will?
But of course somewhere out there in the vast, mind blowing cosmos there is other life. Although it may not be quite how we imagine it.
The solar system alone is a fascinating place even with only one planet able to support life.

i believe they could be looking at us.... their technologically & spaceship would be 1000s years infront of our so we wouldn't have a clue if they was looking at us..
Re: Do You Believe in U.F.O's
I think you'd enjoy the conspiracy theory about the giant alien moon base on the dark side of the moon, Steve.

would you
But if there is an advanced race visiting earth would you make contact with humans on earth. We are violent, Murderers, we cant be trusted, we would capture them experiment and murder them. Humans treat our own terribly so we wouldnt be nice to them would we lol ?shakespearesdog wrote: The answer is no, that's ridiculous. If they were that advanced that they could reach Earth I very much doubt we would be any kind of threat to them!
I do believe there must be other life forms out there somewhere in the vastness that is the universe but I certainly don't believe aliens have ever visited Earth.

Re: Do You Believe in U.F.O's
Many years ago when we lived in kielder forest ,we were driving home after work my wife sold fabric on sth shields market ,it was about 7 at night we saw a light hovering in the sky then it just shot off way to fast to be a plane,my biggest mistake was to tell my mates who to this day still ask if Elvis was flying it ,so who knows what is up there but no Elvis was definately not flying it (i think)
