hi all, can anyone answer a this question, my staffy (poppy) is putting on some weight but just is'nt showing it she is very skinny, we feed her 4 times a day, her food is autarky, she eats it very quickly and if i put the full bag down she would eat the lot if i gave her the chance.

Millie is also very thin but the opposite to Poppy - we have to almost force her to eat. I was worried and even asked the vet about her but he said she was fine and that I just had a fussy pup - as long as Poppy seems healthy and has plenty of energy I wouldn't worry.

As long as they are deemed well by vet and eating correct amount on packaging i wouldnt worry to much. Dogs are like people and come in all shapes and sizes. My 2 eat exactly the same and are exersised exactly the same and Ty is naturally much much leaner and Kaos has a post pregnacy *!! Seriously i really have to watch kaos's weight as he only has to look at his food and he puts on weight were as Ty i would prefere if he was slightley bigger

Is she up to date with her worming,, if she is not putting weight on play around with her diet, try adding eggs and yogurt to her diet or try a raw diet...

Do you mean she isn't putting on any weight at all, or just that she's staying lean?

i don't know how old she is, but she should obviously be putting on weight, although she may not be putting on fat.

she is only 5 months, she is putting on weight but still very skinny, i've started giving her more food to see if that will help.

Try not to worry they all grow at different rates. As long as more than two ribs aren't showing and she is eating she will be okay
