kenny stood his ground
I've recently moved and kenny seems to like his new garden, only 1 thing, 2 houses down theres 2 dogs, they seem friendly enough. Well, thats untill kenny goes out. They just bark and bark. Kenny runs, tail between legs back in the house every time. He did a playfull bark 1day with his bum in the air then rolled on his back. They just barked louder, scaring kenny. But not 2day. Out he goes, they start, but instead of running back in he puffed his chest out and towards the fench and barked back. I was glad, but concerned. He's allways been a happy ,friendly dog. What if they've scared him so much that he now dislikes other dogs. They cant get at each other so no concerns there. He's getting quite chunky and strong and it worries me.

what's he like with other dogs ?? Staffy's are very picky. Tilly will be very happy and playful with big dogs , but is always very wary of JRT's and such like and the little yappy ones, they are very much like people picking and choosing their friends. You will only know by letting him meet 1 or 2 other dogs on the lead and very carefully

doesn't mean he'll not get on wither animals. marley has been attacked by another dog in the park where we live and still greets other dogs with a big slurp of the tongue

Re: kenny stood his ground
if there's no aggression in the bark then it's probably just if you can bark so can i

that's ok, just once he barks acknowledge and encourage him to do something else. Bear in mind, if he is allowed to bark back untill he develops some anger, his attitude towards dogs could change.

Sounds like he thinks the barking is a game and is just joining in. If he hasn't actually met the dogs there's no telling if he likes them or not.
My dog doesn't like most other males but he's not aggressive, he just ignores them. It doesn't stop him saying hello nicely and then he wanders off.
