The only other sport I can think of comparing to AFL....is Gaelic Football in Ireland.

Football aka Soccer is summer sport in Aus...as is Cricket. Not as popular as AFL or Rugby though.

With the soccer though....I think most of us prefer watching EPL rather than the local stuff lol

Tony just loves his footy and his number one team is The Eagles....

I grew up with my dad ( and mum ) and 3 brothers in a small town in South Australia with only 2 tv channels so it was footy all the way.... doh
