Re:
We feed billy raw, he eats chicken, beef, heart, liver rib bones and chicken wings etc etc
If you get it from the butchers you must freeze it first to kill any germs, we order on line, it is much cheaper. It can be really cheap if you feed mince , but Billy hates mince, hope that helps

Re:
I feed raw and mine thrive on it. Their main meal consists of chicken quarters which I suppliment with offal and sometimes a veggie mush that seems to help them get a little extra vitamins. Best thing I've done feeding wise. I used to feed Origin, Taste of the Wilde and Canadae, but this is by far the one that works the best for my boys. A little strange to get used to, but they have loads of energy, poop less, stink less and have great teeth! It isn't for everyone or every dog though. This topic is always going to bring out those who are strongly opposed to it and those who are strongly in favor with a few in between. If you do go this way, don't mention it to your vet unless you know they are in favor of it. Most of the vets in NorCal went to UCD which is heavily subsidised by Science Diet (Hills). That seems to be what they all recommend, but it is horrid stuff.
Yes, Caryll and Ella are the raw goddesses.

Re:
Hi there,
I have over the past 5 weeks been changing Polly over from kibble to raw meat and bones as she has severe skin allergies and we are trying to avoid her having to be on steroids for life for this condition.
We go to our local butchers for bones and he also makes up "dog minced meat" this is all the off cuts of meat and also a percentage of liver, kidney, heart and lungs which he makes up fresh each day and freezes in kilo packs. Polly also has fresh chicken which I buy whole and quarter up for her, and she has one quarter a day. She also has fish once or twice a week, salmon or sardines or whatever is on offer at the fish market. She has a raw egg 3 times a week. I also buy any meat that is on offer at the local supermarket and she has that.
She has lost the excess weight that she gained after 3 months on the steroids and although she is still a little heavy she has stopped losing now and I will adjust her diet to help her lose the rest as we go.
So far her allergies are calming right down too, although it will take a while for her to get back to perfect condition, already her fur is wonderfully shiney and she only has a couple of patches she scratches at now, and the fur is growing back over the bald patches where she scratched uncontrollably from the inflamation and irritation.
I'm still getting used to this way of feeding, after over 30 years of opening cans or scooping out kibble for various dogs, its not as easy, but if it means she doesn't have to be on steroids for the rest of her life then I am prepared to do it for her.
I doubt I would have done it if not for her problems, but I am really glad I did.
