Child Modelling Empty Child Modelling

Post by Guest Fri Feb 17 2012, 13:45

Ok so the other week we all had a really nice family photo taken at a studio. The woman who took our photo was absolutley head over heels with summer my youngest daughter. She said i should get her into modelling as shes got exactly the right temperment, attitude and look for it all with her big brown eyes and blonde curly hair. But she said 2 think carefully about it as she could see summer being really popular and she said it can take over your life. Well after talking to hubby i kind of decided to at least look into it....ive been looking at agency websites and stuff but i dunno it all seems a bit weird. I was wondering if anyone else has done anything like this who could offer some advice?

No experience with children modelling at all, but I'd say its worth exploring also, you never know until you get all the facts!

No I wouldn't be happy with that either!

Could the women who took the initial photo point you in the right direction?

you got to be careful of agency's promising loads of work but needing you to pay for expensive portfolios that deliver nothing.
if a agency really see money to make they will do a portfolio and go off commission

I would not use an on line agency. If you approach modelling in general with thorough investigation of all the pros and cons I cant see it being a bad move. I would however check out any potential agency very well and would gravitate towards one specialising in children.

My father was a model and I modeled a bit as a child. I don't know any of what goes into it, but I do remember having fun and I was not damaged by any of it. When I went to Finland this summer my grandmother had a Finnish book with my picture on the cover!

I know! I look pretty much exactly the same! It's a bit annoying when I'm trying to buy a drink. Or, the worst, this summer I got carded when I sat in the Emergency Exit Row on an airplane... You only have to be 15 to sit in the emergency Exit Row on an airplane... Straight Face
