Re: Skye and Buster family trees
It's hard to say without actually seeing the pedigree. Can you scan them, or maybe take a pic & post them?

Re: Skye and Buster family trees
Yes, Rommel's Grandmother on Father's side is Kenmilltri Delightful who is Kenmilquin Bluebell's dam. Rommel's sire is also from the Kenmilquin stud. Here is a copy of Rommel's pedigree:
http://www.stamtavler.com/dogarchive/details.php?id=131330&gens=6
There is definitely quite a bit of similarity in their breeding. I must admit I wish I owned Valglo Casanova at Crossguns, he is one seriously good looking Staffy

Hi Kenmilquin is not an affix its the name the kennel club puts on some litters that are registered without an affix. Its a different one for each year for example kenmilltri, kenine, kendeci.

If the owners don't want to name the litter themselves ( won't go into the reasons ) the kennel club will do it for them.

Its not really when you think how many litter registrations there are from every breed, yes it starts with ken - kennel club

Re: Skye and Buster family trees
Just checked both of their inbreeding coefficient and Skye's is 3.6% and busters is high at 22.9% but he's the one that is more to the breed standard
Now if I was to breed them together (not saying I will) but the pups would be 8.2% which is still above the average but at least it's not very high

I know what you mean, but that doesn't remove the health problems. Inbreeding isn't just about the health of one pup, but the possible genetic faults that could be passed from that pup to others, even if the original pup wasn't affected by them itself.
The only way to tackle the problem of inbreeding health issues is not to mate a high COI dog at all.

I see what you mean but I feel bad that although I didn't get buster from his breeder they feel it's fine to breed a dog (his mum) that is so high
If I was to breed which I have done in the past with straight back gsds (all pups had great homes all 3 litters were able to be returned and some came to us for hols and one we rehomed at the age of 9 and we took on his pup at the age of 7) I would have all health checks done but I know how much hard work it is to breed dogs and not the money making that everyone seems to think it is but so many reasons not to breed especially time and any pup breed from us would be able to be returned what ever the age all pups would also be microchipped so they could be traced back to us rather than end up in kennels
