Rag Rug

went to a charity shop today and bought a kingsize quilt cover for £2.50. Got home and cut it into strips and am going to start and try make a rag rug from it all. I may need to go get another of a similar colour if I dont have enough. Hope I get it right. I have been on the internet looking for different crafty things to do and I quite liked look of these. It will keep me going untill all the other bits of material turn up from America and Australia to make my proddy mat. Heres a couple of pictures of some so you know what I'm talking about

a proddy mat - 2" x 1" strips of material prodded through some hessian so that the pile is the end bits sticking through. You can do different designs and colours some people manage to make some good pictures



a rag rug. strips of knotted material or braided material. You can do different shapes and the use loads of colours or all the same . You can just let your imagination run riot with both rugs.

They look really good! How easy are they to make?

they are easy to make its just the patience it will take. Go onto youtube thats where i found them. i like the latch hooking as well.

I dont have the patience. they do look goos though
