little black death!
I have a thing agaisnt Poodles. I have been bitten so many times by toy poodles i cant keep track of them all. But today solidified my feelings towards them.
Me and Romeo were chilling on the bus, going home from a friends house when a man walks on, with this VERY tiny black poodle. OF CAUSE the first thing it does is fly at Romeo. Romeo didnt even notice it, until it bit him in the neck, and then then, he just kind of jumped a little and then looked at it, which i'm guessing means it just shocked him and didnt hurt him, lucky he had his winter jacket with neck peice, his winter staffie collar and about 3 layes of extra skin to protect him form this mini horror. What go me was after this thing attacked Romeo, snarling like had roid rage, the owner, scooped up his owner and started cooing to it and saying how he wouldnt let the mean doggy get him. Now...mind you he spoke very monotoned , it was like a word app trying to be sexy... it doesnt really work. Normally i would have had some smart * reply about his 'Killer dog' but i was too disturbed by him to make a reaction. then i had to sit there on the bus with him sitting behind me while this toy poodle sounded like it was working its way off of a mental drug addiction.
sigh.... i would like the blighters more... if they were not treated like spoilt children.

Re: little black death!
he thinks he is, after being to so many magazine photoshoots he now thinks its all about romeo and the romeo show
but snappy little dogs and ignorent owners, when will they get it in their head. my dog could bite off their dogs head, yet which is the one behaving? some day one of those dogs will attack a dog not as easy going as Romeo and BAM, it will be dead

Good boy Romeo! There is a toy poo nextdoor to me as well and he is a terror. Standards seem to have much more stable personalities from the ones I have met. Perhaps it is the type of owner drawn to a toy version or somthing from breeding them down in size, but I have the same experiences. The neighbors dog used to go for my previous dog who would have destroyed "fluffy" given the chance. Some dogs are bigger than their britches but I for one am thankful for the Staffies holding their temper as they would certainly be punished over "fluffy."

This made me laugh!
Anyhoo, I know! Poor Romeo, glad he was well protected, bless him.
Today I took Millie on the field and saw a poodle i havent seen for a while, pure white called toffee. To be honest she has never been a nice dog. I was sitting on the field, reading my book with millie beside me when toffee (luckily on a lead) started leaping round like a dog with rabies. Her teeth are really sharp and I could see them. She was baring them and growling and drooling and her eyes were going into the back of her head. She as running circles around her owner, who is a grumpy person anyway, merely stood twisitng the leader aroudn him as toffee ran circles around him!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: little black death!
its like.. damn they scare me a touch because often they are more insane and unpredictable then our bully types
Re: little black death!
Had that happen to me once...when I was with Junior.
I've never seen Junior react so quickly, the other dog missed and Junior pinned it, there was no bloody but still. The other dog deserved it.

Re: little black death!
Poor romeo good on him for not retaliating dog knows what the owner of the poodle would have done if he had seeing as he cooed over it after it went for your boy!!!!! some people.
What a stupid owner arghhhh i feel sorry for the other dog having an owner like that if it was treated like a dog im sure it would have a better temp than that !!

Re: little black death!
i know. romoe is super friendly, if not a bit over eager when it comes to play. he gets attacked randomly all the time, and if it was for say, rough housing at the dog park i'd get it... but at random public places where he is just being mellow.
Romeo is not yet 5 months, i'm just a bit worried when he is bigger and older he might go... screw you and get a little carried away with a reaction.
i have a friend who has a mixed breed rescue from Estonia. its mental, and not in a good way. its so nervous. when she see's romeo he growls and cowers, he wants to play to start with but in the end ignores her. my friend follows this dog whisperer, but thats a whole other disgution.
