Sounds a good idea, but this worried me a little...
How the Hundehiet units are kept clean and disease-free isn’t entirely clear, and a search for other details about the shelters — including who operates them or how they’re kept cool in summertime, for example — was fruitless.

Re: Dog Locker outside shop
I couldnt leave my dog in a locker Hes not an old pair of trainers!
He would scream the place down if i left him in one of those, i might as well wheel a safe to the shops with me and pop him in that when i do the shopping.
I wish shops in england were more dog friendly.

In Finland they have them, but they don't look like those ones they look like this:
Not sure how I feel about them, but they are certainly better than tying your dog out front of a shop where he could get stolen.

Novel idea, and beats tying them up. I'd rather leave her at home though, safer! Dog theft is on the rise..

Well, obviously, if you are going out just to go shopping, you wouldn't bring your dog. But I've been out and about with Saxon and needed to stop somewhere he can't go. I just leave him in the car with the windows cracked (unless it's freezing) and try to make it a quick trip.

I just couldn't leave Rocky tied up outside a shop. As far as i am concerned it would be the same as tying up a child outside the shop, you wouldn't, just NO.

Re: Dog Locker outside shop
hmm looks a bit scary to me i don't think i would like my dog inside one. It would also encourage a lot of people to abandon a dog in it, and some nice little quiet dogs just wouldn't moan and be discovered

Re: Dog Locker outside shop
I only do if its literally to grab a pint of milk or pick up a takeaway and I always have view of him from the shop but I have wondered if something similar would be handy like when I walk Ledger upto the retail park to go to pets at home and see something I want on sale or offer in one of the other shops or just somewhere secure so I can go inside to order food/drink and we can sit outside in the summer even on long walks when I need to use the loo and no premises allow dogs, maybe some sort of combination lock on the collar/lead?
