Hello All, 1st Time Staffy owner

Hello All,
I picked up my pup Lennie on Friday aged 7 weeks.
He is very funny but has a tendancy to have a few mad moments where the biting is constant.
I appreciate that we have got him very early at 7 weeks.
We are doing the "Yelping" and "NO" thing with him and sometimes he is great and then after a sleep seems to have amnesia and its all over again.
Cant wait to be able to get him out and wear him out properly.
He is amazing in the fact that he moans at the back door for toilet although there has been a couple of little accidents indoors but he has been excellent in that department.

Hi Jason and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
Be consistent with his training and all others members of the household to follow the same rules too.
It's great that he asked to go out the door, some accidents are bound to be expected at his tender age and should not be punished.
Has he had any injections yet??

Hi Jason, welcome to the forum.
7 weeks isn't too bad. To me, that's the minimum.
With the biting, keep up with what you're doing & you'll find that it'll gradually sink in. He will learn, but he'll forget himself when he gets excited!

Hello All,
considering Lenie is 7 and a half weeks now he is doing remarkably well.
He has his 1st injection on Friday as the vet wanted him to settle in at his new home.
As soon as I have worked out how to, I will put photos.

I know you say you appreciate you got him at 7 weeks, but I would never take one till 8 weeks old. This is due to sibling bonding and them learning when to push boundaries and when not too.
Even thought he hasnt the 2 weeks of this from 6-8wks if your consistant with his training you will crack it quickly.
Vaccinations tend to be given at either 8 and 10 weeks or 8 and 12 weeks depending on the vets preference.
