I'm a new staffie owner and as a result, new to this forum.

I must say that of all the internet forums I've ever used, this is by far and away the best.

The people are so welcoming and helpful and the organisation appears to be excellent. On top of that, the advice given is superb. So thanks to the people who run and contribute to this site, you've made the job of ingratiating our new family member much easier than it would have been had I not started to post and read the content, on this website.

We're not entirely sure as she's come from a rescue home, but various people seem to think she's between 1 and 2.

She really fab. The only issue at the moment is still the odd wee on the carpet.

Up until yesterday, she hadn't even barked in the two weeks we've had her, and even then, it was because a big husky was all over her.

I wouldn't worry too much at the moment, as she's still in a 'settling in' period. That can take some weeks, and she'll gradually feel more comfortable & confident with you. I'm sure it'll sort itself out.

i couldnt agree more, many times this forum has been a life line to me and my dog River, she is also between 1 and 2 and a resuce.. dont worry it takes time for them to settle in as already said.. anyhow

yes I think we have all learnt various things on here.. I learnt about crates.. just wish I had learnt 12 and a half years ago when Jethro was baby!

would have saved me so much grief over the years!!
