I think it is very kind of you. As you are giving it through a friend, I think she will appriciate it and doesn't seem stalkerish to me at all. If it was cross-gender it might more (probably sounds really sexist of me... sorry).

Well to make it less stalker i asked her bf and best friend before i even started asking people for messages. i feel good about doing it i think its lovely but i still just keep thinking that OTHER people will think "omg shes a freak she doesnt even know her"

I was actually thinking of a guy doing something like that for a lady. I think it is not as bad for a lady to do it for a guy for some reason. Probably because I don't know of many guys who do that sort of things for gals they don't know simply out of the goodness of their heart (not saying there aren't though - just thinking how it might appear to the recipient).

In your case I think it is extremely kind and sometimes only another animal lover can really comfort a fellow animal lover.
