I have to say I have finally started to understand my Bella and what makes her tick and have to say it amazes me how quick you can train her, its a matter of 10 -20 mins and that's it. If this is what the breed is like as a rule it truly amazes me.

if there is a reward at the end most learn fairly quick, we didn'get our's as a puppy so training takes a bit longer 1-2 weeks, but we are getting there. i'm glad you getting along so well, keep up the good work. she's gonna be a cracker applause

Anything that gets a reward of some sort, be it fav toy or food, then the dog will find it worth while.

My 3 are both toy and food orientated so training can be a breeze most of the time, unless trying Gizzi. This is only due to her canine ADHD but she is learning fast when she focuses on the task in hand.

In general a staffy once focused will train easily and quicky with fab results if done correctly xx

I think Tyson may be a bit slow on the uptake (maybe I expect instant gratification). It takes him a little while to 'get' what I am asking for but once he gets it he is a star. It just takes patience and a bit of time.

I don't believe in the whole "eager to please" thing (for any breed of dog), but I think staffies are easy to train as they're so easy to motivate (they enjoy so many things - food, play, other dogs, people...) In other words they're eager to eat, eager to play, eager to greet and so on Laughing
