I wouldn't give a pup a large bone like that till their adult teeth are completely through. Stick to chicken wings till they start to teeth & then ribs/necks etc while they're teething, it's help get those dratted needles out!

Just a word of caution, nikki, if you're using a leg bone for their meal - don't. It's fine as an ocasional treat, but the marrow will be too rich for a regular meal. You'll need the smaller bones like ribs & necks/spines that they can crunch up & digest.

It wasn't for a meal hun, it's just something to chew on to help keep their teeth nice etc.

Do you have a Morrissons supermarket? They have their own butchers so they might keep some back for you.

I get the marrow ones from the dishy young butcher in town for free.
Just make sure he gives you what you ask for and he will if nice cut them down smaller for ya.
